Developed to meet the needs of high school students and college students in rural areas, FCD's Confirmation Curriculum is also useful for teens who have scheduling conflicts with their own church's confirmation preparation.

The class requires 24 weeks of participation in 2008-2009, with a time commitment similar to what is expected in most parish programs for confirmation preparation. Students can participate at any day or time in the week, wherever they have an internet connection. The course focuses on the History of the Episcopal Church and the meaning of our basic creeds. Discernment exercises teach spiritual tools that will be useful throughout each student's adult life in listening for God's voice of guidance and comfort. The cost is $295 per student, which includes two student-friendly textbooks, online mentoring during 2008-2009, and coordination with the students' clergy to verify that expectations for confirmation preparation have been met.
