What's on this website

About 205,000,000 bytes of example websites, web tools, and web related instruction!

Notes: This web page started out as an index for a CD I would give to those attending my church web design classes and seminars. Now it is a loose collection of related resources.

I began to use the military predecessor of the Internet (ARPANET/milnet) in 1985, helping to pioneer the use of the developing network of computers to move, collect, and analyze logistics data to speed the movement of cargo. I continued to be a major advocate and innovator in the use of the Internet to expedite the movement of cargo, with special emphasis in support of the Gulf War in 1990 and the NATO air war over Yugoslavia in 1999.

My interest in web sites stemmed from my advocacy of the use of the new world wide web beginning in 1995 to improve communication among the Air Force Materiel Command's Transportation Squadrons and Divisions.

My career in web site development begain in 1998, first as a volunteer designing and maintaining the initial web site for a major church jurisdiction in southern Ohio, and beginning in January 2000 as it's director of communications, where I helped speed the adoption of these new forms in communication to further the work of the church. In August of 2003 I resigned that position, though I continued my public communications ministry through the summer of 2006 to help bring about reform of that jurisdiction and support the development a new orthodox Anglican province in North America.

All of the websites indexed on this page are my own design, not necessarily complete, and not necessarily that good, but all are useful for teaching various points of web design. You are welcomed to use and share anything on this page for information and education purposes. To use anything for any other purpose, contact me at andy@2chronicles36.org © 2007 Andy Figueroa
